Waiting for Review
Stuck in Waiting for Review
Waiting is frustrating, and nobody outside Apple can skip the queue. What you can control is making sure the wait doesn't end in a rejection, because a rejection puts you back at the start. These checks are worth doing before you contact Apple.
What it means
Not a rejection: your build is sitting in the queue or has been 'In Review' longer than normal.
Common causes
- Normal queue delay, especially around holidays or new iOS releases
- Reviewer waiting on information you haven't seen (check Resolution Center)
- A build or metadata flag that needs manual attention
How to fix it
- 1.Check the Resolution Center and your email, including spam, for a message from App Review.
- 2.Confirm the build processed fully and nothing is flagged in App Store Connect.
- 3.Wait the typical window first; TODO(verify): current typical review times.
- 4.If it's far past normal, use Apple's contact option to ask for a status check.
- 5.Don't resubmit repeatedly; that can reset your place in the queue.
Rewording alone works sometimes. A request for expedited review or status check can help after a reasonable wait.
